Barbara has had a virtual clean bill of health from her cardiologist although a final consultation may be required subject to the outcome of her consultation with the Respirology consultant yesterday

The Respirology consultant was very matter of fact and confirmed that Barbara has CPOD, emphysema and mild heart failure. This left us quite depressed.

However, today Barbara received a letter from the Respirologist containing vast amounts of information including a prescription for some puffers to ease B’s breathing but most importantly of all was the phrase “the COPD and asthma conditions are reversible and the heart failure is mild”.

The inhalers are making her breathing much better. And last night she slept until 0430 but after a puff of one she slept until 0930! Happy days.

So today we are much more cheerful.
